Uniaxial and basal plane anisotropy caused by Cr2+ impurity ions in CrBO3 crystals

In this study, the uniaxial and basal anisotropy governed by Cr2+ impurity ions was treated based on the Cr2+- BO33− ion vacancy model using single ion approximation. The anomalous behavior of the basal anisotropy at low temperatures was predicted.
