Cesarean section scar choriocarcinoma, an unusual entity with ultrasound, MRI and pathologic correlation

- Premenopausal female presented to ER with heavy vaginal bleeding with blood clots
- Transvaginal ultrasound showed “snow storm-like” mass at the cesarean section scar.
- MRI showed peripherally enhancing mass inferiorly at the lower uterine segment wall.
- Pathology was consistent with uterine choriocarcinoma with hemorrhage and necrosis.
- Rare reported case of cesarean section scar choriocarcinoma imaged by MRI
