Two different molybdenum oxides MoO2 and MoO3 are corresponding to different applications: asymmetric supercapacitors and photodegrading tetracycline, which are predicted from DFT calculation and crystal field theories. Mesoporous g-C3N4 enhanced MoO2/rGO composite was performed as a high-performance electrode in asymmetric supercapacitors, and shows an enhanced capacity at 1700â¯Fâ¯gâ1 at 1â¯Aâ¯gâ1 and cycling retention at 84% retention after 3000 cycles. MoO3/rGO photocatalyst shows a high efficiency of tetracycline degradation at 90.6% after 2â¯h under visible light.217
