A two dimensional thermoviscoelastic problem due to instantaneous point heat source

A dynamic problem of thermoviscoelasticity in the presence of heat source is studied here. The solution in Laplace–Fourier transformed domain is obtained using eigen value approach. Stress distributions are computed numerically.
