ResumenLa Revolución mexicana fue un movimiento político y social muy complejo. Sobre él escribió Mariano Azuela, cuentista, novelista y dramaturgo. En este artículo, se puntualiza con respecto a sus dos adaptaciones teatrales de Los de abajo y su versión escénica de Los caciques, obras que constituyen un aporte a la historia del teatro mexicano sobre la Revolución.

The Mexican Revolution was an extremely complex political and social movement. Playwriter, story-teller and novelist Mariano Azuela wrote about it in his large body of work. In this article, there is a special focus on two of the latter's theatre adaptations, The Underdogs and his stage version of The Bosses, literary works that are great contributions to the history of the Mexican Theatre on the subject of the Revolution.
