On the gas-phase decomposition of acyclic ethers mediated by “rollover” cyclometalated [Pt(bipy−H)]+ (bipy = 2,2′-bipyridine): A mechanistic study

Mechanistic details of the ion/molecule reactions of cyclometalated [Pt(bipy−H)]+ with acyclic ethers were uncovered by deuterium-labeling experiments and the results are compared with those for analogous reactions of the corresponding thioethers.
