Two new secoiridoid glycosides from the roots of Picrorhiza scrophulariiflora

From the roots of Picrorhiza scrophulariiflora, two new secoiridoid glycosides, named picrosecosides I and II (1, 2) have been isolated. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of chemical and spectropic evidences.
