New phenylene bridged binuclear bis (imino-quinolyl) palladium (II) complexes: Synthesis, characterization and Heck reactions

► The new ligand 1,4-bis (imino-quinolyl) benzene was synthesized following Schiff base condensation. ► New phenylene bridged binuclear bis (imino-quinolyl) palladium (II) complexes are reported. ► X-ray crystal structure of the ligand showed two planar molecules. ► Good yields and good selectivity were obtained in Heck coupling reactions.
