A new organic amine templated 1D europium sulfate [H3O]2[(CH3)2NH2][Eu(SO4)3] 1 has been solvothermally synthesized and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray, IR and TGA. Structure analysis indicates that the structure of 1 exhibits a 1D chain structure compensated by protonated dimethylamine and water cations. The strong red fluorescence for 1 has been observed in the solid state.
