Synthesis of new pyridinofullerene ligands capable of forming complexes with zinc tetraphenyl porphyrin

Two new pyridinofullerene ligands capable of forming axially complexes with zinc tetraphenyl porphyrin were synthesized and characterized. 1H NMR, electro-spray ionization mass spectroscopy (ESI-MS) and fluorescence quenching data support formation of strong complexes between the new ligands and zinc tetraphenylporphyrin (ZnTPP).
