• Four novel crystals based on Mg3 units were synthesized by in-situ modification.
• The terminals of Mg3 units were occupied by DMF, CH3OH, C2H5OH, C3H7OH.
• The structures have different topologies, porosities, and adsorption properties.
In this work, an approach of in-situ modification is used to alter the terminal of Mg3 unit, leading to the modulation of topology, porosity, and adsorption properties.
Four crystals about Mg3 units were reported in the article. The Mg3 units were modified by low boiling point molecules including DMF, CH3OH, C2H5OH, and C3H7OH on the terminal site, resulting in the differences on topologies, adsorption and adsorption selectivity.Figure optionsDownload as PowerPoint slide
