Synthesis, structure and magnetic property of a supramolecule with 1D metal-water chains containing planar hexacyclic water rings

An eight-nuclear complex, {[Ni(tacn)2]5[Cr(CN)6]3}ClO4 · 18 · 5H2O (tacn = 1, 4, 7-triazacyclononane) has been synthesized and characterized structurally and magnetically. This complex consists of a 3D structure with 1D metal-water chains containing planar hexacyclic water rings.
