Synthesis of fluorinated geminal diisocyanides stabilized on a transition metal

► The synthesis of so far unique geminal fluorinated diisocyanides is presented. ► Although the solvent is present in a much higher concentration a second attack of the C-H bond occurred. ► The X-ray crystal structure determination demonstrates the pentacarbonyl chromium fragments avoid the contact to the fluorous groups resulting in double layer structure.
