Enhancing the possibilities of 57Fe Mössbauer spectrometry to the study of chemical and physical properties of iron in medicines

RT Mössbauer spectrometry was used to investigate the properties of iron ions in medicines. From the hyperfine parameters, we identify ferrous fumarate and sulfate [see part (a)]. We determined the relative recoilless f-fractions [see part (b)], and from these the amount of ferrous content in the Laproff medicine.53
