Synthesis and crystal structure characterization of iron(II), cobalt(II) and nickel(II) complexes with 1,3-bis(2-pyridylmethylthio)propane

Three complexes, [FeII(L)Cl2] (1), [CoII(L)Cl2] (2) and [NiII(L)Cl2] (3) where L = 1,3-bis(2-pyridylmethylthio)propane, were synthesized and characterized by physicochemical and spectroscopic methods. The structural analysis of 1 and 3 shows that the complexes are isomorphous with an octahedral geometry.
