Synthesis, crystal structure and luminescence of Ag(I) coordination polymers based on a new sulfonate functionalized terpyridine derivative ligand
چکیده انگلیسی

Two new Ag(I) coordination compounds, [Ag(HTBDS)(H2O)]n·3nH2O (1), [Ag2(TBDS)(2,2′-bipy)(H2O)]n (2) [H2TBDS = 4-([4,2′:6′,4″-terpyridine]-4′-yl)benzene-1,3-disulfonic acid, 2,2′-bipy = 2,2′-bipyridine] have been successfully synthesized under hydrothermal conditions and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, single crystal X-ray diffraction. Compound 1 is formed at the pH value of 5.0, exhibits a 3-connected 2D layer structure with the hcb topological net, and further linked by O–H⋯O and N–H⋯O hydrogen bonds to form a 3D supramolecular framework. When introducing the 2,2′-bipy and increasing the pH value to 6.0, compound 2 is generated. It displays a 3D network with ths topological net. Interestingly, the distorted 2,2′-bipy shows a μ2-η1:η1 bridging mode to connect two Ag(I) ions into a rare six-membered ring with strong Ag⋯Ag interactions, which plays an important role in the formation of the coordination polymer structure of 2. Additionally, the thermal stabilities and photoluminescence properties of 1–2 were also investigated.

Two new Ag(I) coordination polymers based on 4-([4,2′:6′,4″-terpyridine]-4′-yl)benzene-1,3-disulfonate have been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions. Compound 1 is a 2D hcb framework, while compound 2 displays a 3D network with ths topological net. The photoluminescence and thermal stability of 1–2 were also studied.Figure optionsDownload as PowerPoint slide
