Study on chrysazin-aluminium(III) interaction in solution by spectroscopy and quantum chemical calculations

The complexation of Al(III) by chrysazin was studied by spectroscopic techniques and quantum chemical calculations. The structures of the two complexes of stoichiometry 1:1 and 2:1 were elucidated by comparison of experimental and computed electronic spectra. The results were compared with those obtained for the Al(III)-alizarin system.
