Linear trinuclear MnII–LnIII–MnII clusters via the “compartmentalized ligand” approach: Synthesis, structures and magnetic properties

The reaction of a compartmentalized hydrazino Schiff base ligand with a MnII salt followed by a LnIII salt (Ln = Tb and Dy), afforded linear heterometallic MnLnMn complexes that showed interesting magnetic properties.
