Magnetic phase transitions in transition-metal complexes with triazole derivatives

► We prepared bis(1,2,4-triazolato)metal(II) complexes through hydrothermal reactions. ► The copper(II) and cobalt(II) complexes exhibit magnetic phase transitions. ► Magnetic moments are aligned in canted arrangements, at 30 and 8 K, respectively. ► The coercive fields of 4.7 and 0.5 kOe were observed in the complexes, respectively.
