Synthesis, spectral characterization and structure of dinuclear double-helical mercury complex containing bis[4-(2-pyridylmethyleneamino)phenyl]methane ligand

The bis[4-(2-pyridylmethyleneamino)phenyl]methane ligand and it's dinuclear double-helical mercury complex have been synthesized and characterized by CHN analyses, IR, and UV-Vis spectroscopy. The crystal structures of the ligand and complex have been determined.
