Synthesis, properties and structural characterization of 4-(2-ammonioethyl)piperazin-1-ium tetrasulfidotungstate hemihydrate and 1-ethylpiperazinediium tetrasulfidotungstate

The synthesis, properties and structural characterization of 4-(2-ammonioethyl)piperazin-1-ium tetrasulfidotungstate hemihydrate 1 and 1-ethylpiperazinediium tetrasulfidotungstate 2 are described. The tetrahedral anions and the cations in 1 and 2 are linked by several weak hydrogen bonding interactions.
