Enantiopure Zn(II) and Cu(II) complexes of hexaazatetracyclomacrocycles based on cyclohexane moiety

► New enantiopure Zn(II) and Cu(II) complexes were obtained in template condensations. ► Despite the formation of six stereogenic centres, only one stereoisomer is selectively obtained. ► X-ray crystal structures of four new complexes have been determined. ► NOESY spectra indicate that the structure in solution corresponds to that in the solid state.
