Synthesis and characterization of binuclear μ-oxo and μ-telluro molybdenum(V) complexes, [Cp∗Mo(O)(μ-Te)]2

► Syn and anti isomers of binuclear μ-chalcogeno molybdenum complexes were synthesized. ► Syn and anti isomers were distinguished by 77Se and 125Te NMR spectroscopy. ► Molybdaboranes can be used for the preparation of transition metal main group clusters.
