The unprecedented transition metals (TMs) bridged 1,4-dititanium(IV)-substituted Keggin-type polyoxotungstates K3{M(H2O)4}2PTi2W10O40 · 8H2O (M = CoII (1), NiII (2), MnII (3)) have been synthesized and characterized by FT-IR, UV, element analyses, X-ray powder diffraction analyses,183W NMR spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry, TG and X-ray single-crystal analyses. It is the first time that Ti-containing polyoxotungstate [α-PTi2W10O40]7− fragments are linked by TMs based on novel Ti–O–M bonds, and it is the first example of a three-dimensional (3D) two-fold interpenetrating pure inorganic framework structure based on Keggin polyoxometallates and TMs.
The structural features of 1 along the crystallographic c axis. Wire or stick schematic representation of the 3D two fold interpenetrating inorganic framework of 1. The clusters of building units [α-PTi2W10O40]7− fragments are replaced by red and green nodes of the net.Figure optionsDownload as PowerPoint slide
