One silver discrete compound [AgL12](PF6) and four silver coordination polymers or networks, [Ag2L23](PF6)2, [Ag2L23](ClO4)2, [Ag2L22](BF4)2, and [Ag2L2(NO3)2], were prepared by layer diffusion, where L1 is 1,2-bis(thiophen-2-ylmethylene)hydrazine and L2 is 1,2-bis(furan-2-ylmethylene)hydrazine.
