Modification of the liquid Ni(ORN)2, RN = C2H4NMe2, with stoichiometric or sub-stoichiometric amounts of carboxylic acids, HCOOH or CH3COOH, results in formation of crystalline heteroleptic complexes Ni6(OH)2(ORN)6(OCOR)2, R = H (1), CH3 (3) with the core structure closely analogous to that observed earlier for hexanuclear titanium (IV) alkoxide carboxylates and derived from hexagonal packing of the donor atoms.
Modification of the liquid Ni(ORN)2, RN = C2H4NMe2, with carboxylic acids, results in formation of crystalline heteroleptic complexes Ni6(OH)2(ORN)6(OCOR)2, R = H (1), CH3 (3) with the core structure closely analogous to that of hexanuclear titanium (IV) alkoxide carboxylates.Figure optionsDownload as PowerPoint slide
