Atmospheric chemical vapour deposition (APCVD) was used to deposit composite TiO2–VO2 films on glass. The films were characterised by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, Raman, energy dispersive X-ray analysis and scanning electron microscopy. These composite films exhibited photo-induced hydrophilicity, photocatalysis and a thermochromic switching temperature of 54 °C.
