Increasing of stability depended on the position of alkoxy group in PPV

► The stability is attributed to the electron-withdrawing effect of the fluoro groups. ► The PPDFV derivatives with difluoro groups on the vinylene unit were synthesized. ► The PL spectra of p-EHOPh-PPDFV with para-alkoxy phenyl group are very stable.
