Response to discussion of paper: The electrical resistance response of continuous carbon fibre composite laminates to mechanical strain

The mechanisms of current flow in continuous carbon fibre composites are restated, the research reported in the original paper by Angelidis et al. are reanalysed and clarified, support for our view from other research workers is cited and the analysis and comments of Chung and Wang are discussed in relation to this evidence.
