Composition dependence of the Yb-participated strong up-conversions in polycrystalline ErYb silicate

► Polycrystalline ErYb silicate powders were fabricated and characterized. ► Yb-participated Er up-conversions induced strong visible emissions. ► Yb can enhance the Er up-conversions beyond dilution and sensitization effect.
