A monolithic composite ceramic with total-reflection active-mirrors for joule-class pulse energy amplification

► A cryogenic total-reflection active-mirror (TRAM) amplifier has been proposed. ► The TRAM has made by using a composite ceramics technology. ► A parasitic oscillation in the TRAM has been experimentally analyzed. ► A monolithic composite ceramic with multi-TRAMs has been newly designed for 1 J. ► Our calculation ensures excellent thermal strength of these composite ceramics.
