Alignment of PHTP-DNAA inclusion crystals by zone casting

► We applied zone casting for directional crystallization of inclusion compound. ► Layers of PHTP/DNAA showing second harmonic generation were obtained. ► The zone casting technique bear a great potential to produce monopolar thin layers. ► Producing monopolar PHTP/guest layers featuring a pyroelectric effect is anticipated. ► Deposition onto interdigitated electrodes may lead to heat sensing device.
