Optical properties and luminescence kinetics of Ln1.9Pr0.1(WO4)3 (where Ln = Gd, La) immobilized in silica xerogel

► Synthesis of new luminescent materials consisting of Ln1.9Pr0.1(WO4)3 where Ln = Gd or La immobilized in silica xerogel is described. ► Study of kinetics of Pr(III) ions and the energy transfer from tungstate group to Pr(III) ions is presented. ► Obtained luminescent materials are a new promising red phosphors.
