Influence of twinning on the grain refinement during high-temperature deformation in a magnesium alloy
چکیده انگلیسی

A relationship was established between the recrystallized grain size (drec) and the Zener–Hollomon parameter (Z) for a wrought Mg alloy using hot compression tests. Above a critical Z value, twinning influences the dynamic recrystallization (DRX) process, resulting in a more effective grain refinement, which is manifested in a significant change in the slope of the Z–drec relationship. The compression tests were performed along the through-thickness and rolling directions of the plate to study the orientation dependency of the DRX process.
