A methodology for Monte Carlo simulation of recrystallization in an overaged and cold-rolled precipitation-hardenable aluminum alloy
چکیده انگلیسی

A combination of analytical approaches and Monte Carlo simulation is employed to model the microstructural evolution of an overaged and deformed precipitation-hardenable aluminum alloy during isothermal annealing. Recrystallization nucleation at microstructural inhomogeneities is simulated by imposing a non-uniform distribution of stored energy. The interaction between recovery and precipitate coarsening and their effects on the growth of recrystallized nuclei is also considered in the model. The simulation results are in good agreement with published experimental results.
