Microstructural and textural changes in a severely cold rolled boron-added interstitial-free steel

The severe cold rolling of a single sheet of boron-added Ti + Nb IF steel at room temperature can produce nano- to ultrafine-sized grains. The number fraction of high-angle grain boundaries increases up to 98% cold rolling and then shows a perceptible decrease after further cold rolling. The coincidence site lattice (CSL) boundary fraction increases continuously with deformation. The most prominent among these CSL boundaries are the ∑∑3, ∑∑11 and ∑∑13b types.
