ESR spectra and thermal diffusivity of Zn-Al layered double hydroxide

► Zn-Al-NO3-LDH was synthesized using the co-precipitation method at constant pH 7. ► LDH structure was well preserved at sintering temperatures below 180 °C. ► ESR spectra of sintered LDH were due to nitrate radicals below 200 °C. ► ESR spectra of sintered LDH were due to the oxygen vacancies of ZnO at ≥200 °C. ► Thermal diffusivities of LDH and the sintered LDH were studied versus temperature.
