Buckling analysis of carbon nanotube bundles under axial compressive, bending and torsional loadings via a structural mechanics model

► We employed a structural mechanics model for simulation of three SWCNTs in bundle. ► Buckling behavior of CNT bundles were investigated under different loadings. ► The effects of van der Waals forces were modeled using a nonlinear spring element. ► The effects of different types of boundary conditions are studied for CNT bundle.
