Influence of Rhodamine (B) doping on vibrational, morphological and absorption properties of poly(vinyl) alcohol

► Polyvinyl alcohol films were doped with a range of Rhodamine B concentrations. ► With increasing doping wt%, main PVA Raman peaks vanish. ► It reveals a decrease in crystallinity and breaking of bonds. ► Also results in modified surface morphology (SEM measurements). ► Optical absorption shows strong modifications as a result of doping.
