Effect of anatase-brookite mixed phase titanium dioxide nanoparticles on the high temperature decomposition kinetics of ammonium perchlorate

► Anatase-brookite mixed phase TiO2 nanocatalyst (∼10 nm) has been synthesized. ► Catalytic activity on the decomposition reaction of ammonium perchlorate is evaluated. ► Advanced isoconversional method was used to compute thermal kinetic constants. ► Significant reduction in activation energy indicated a strong catalytic activity. ► Possible removal of NH3 by TiO2 surface reactions changes the decomposition pathway.
