Series of transition metal-doped TiO2 transparent aqueous sols with visible-light response

► Series of metal-doped TiO2 aqueous sols are synthesized via a green chemical route. ► The doped TiO2 can be kept in a sealed case for several months without precipitate. ► The sols exhibited good photocatalytic activities under visible-light irradiation.
