Growth and characterization of organic material 2-hydroxypyridine single crystal by modified vertical Bridgman technique

► Use single zone transparent vertical Bridgman furnace and double wall ampoule. ► Optimized tip part cone angle 23° got the good quality transparent crystal. ► Optimized translation rate 0.01 mm h−1 got the good single crystal. ► Grown 15 mm diameter and 80 mm length 2-hydroxypyridine single crystal. ► XRD, FTIR, HRXRD, optical, thermal, dielectric and SHG studies were analyzed.
