Complex permeability and microwave absorbing properties of planar anisotropy carbonyl-iron/Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 composite in quasimicrowave band

► Thinner electromagnetic wave absorbers used in quasimicrowave band were prepared. ► Planar anisotropy carbonyl-iron (PACI) coated with Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 nanoparticles were prepared. ► The effective permeability of the composite was measured and calculated. ► The EM absorption properties of the composite were investigated.
