Magnesium ferrite nanoparticles inserted in a glass matrix-Microstructure and magnetic properties

► Cubic magnesium ferrite nanoparticles were synthesized using the sol-gel method. ► The ferrite nanoparticles, MgFe2O4, are dispersed in an amorphous matrix. ► Some nanoparticles have a superparamagnetic behaviour. ► This type of materials has biomedical applications.
