A feasible approach to the fabrication of gold/polyaniline nanofiber composites and its application as electrocatalyst for oxygen reduction

► Gold/polyaniline (Au/PANi) nanofiber composites are synthesized via electrostatic adsorption and in situ reduction. ► The as-prepared Au nanoparticles are uniformly distributed on the PANi nanofiber surfaces. ► Au/PANi nanocomposites show good electrocatalytic behavior toward oxygen reduction.
