Raman scattering investigation of MnxFe1−xIn2S4 solid solutions

► We grown MnxFe1−xIn2S4 solid solutions by the directional crystallization method. ► We investigate samples by Energy Dispersive X-Ray analysis and Raman scattering. ► We observed all Raman active and some Raman inactive modes. ► We obtained that Fe occupies mostly octahedral positions in all samples. ► We obtained that Mn is distributed between octahedral and tetrahedral sites.
