Synthesis, structure, magnetic, electrical and electrochemical properties of Al, Cu and Mg doped MnO2

► Al, Mg and Cu doped MnO2 as cathode in Li-ion batteries. ► Pure phase MnO2 for virgin and doped MnO2 were obtained. ► Doping elements improve the electrical conductivity of MnO2. ► Electrochemical behaviour of MnO2 improved after doping by Al, Mg and Cu.
