Luminescent Eu(III) and Tb(III) activator ions in La(OH)3 and La2O3 nanowire matrices

- Eu(III) and Tb(III) activators were doped in La(OH)3 and La2O3.
- La(OH)3 nanowires were synthesized by a hydrothermal method.
- La2O3 were obtained by a post-annealing method.
- Photoluminescence imaging profiles were fully obtained and assigned.
- La2O3 was unstable and changed to La(OH)3.
