A novel low-cost, one-step and facile synthesis of TiO2 for efficient fiber dye-sensitized solarcells

► TiO2 film was synthesized by sintering titanium tetraisopropoxide (TTIP). ► The film was used to fabricate fiber dye-sensitized solar cells (FDSSCs). ► Platinum-modified stainless steel wire was used as the counter electrode. ► Highest energy conversion efficiency of 7.2% was achieved.
