In situ synthesis of graphene/single-walled carbon nanotube hybrid material by arc-discharge and its application in supercapacitors

► A method for efficient and large-scale synthesis of graphene/SWNTs together was developed. ► The hybrid has a novel 3D structure. ► Supercapacitors using this material give a specific capacitance of ∼350 F/g in TEA BF4/AN electrolyte system.
